SK’s Global Scholarship program is designed to provide students from 32 countries—including 19 European nations, 11 Southeast Asian countries, India, and Pakistan—with opportunities to learn cutting-edge advancements in technology and earn a higher degree at Korea University Graduate School. The program aims to enhance international educational exchange and strengthen mutual friendship between the Republic of Korea and these following countries.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Nationality:
- Must hold citizenship from one of the 32 eligible countries (listed above).
- The applicant’s parents must also hold citizenship from countries other than South Korea.
- If the applicant’s nationality changes during the selection process, they will be disqualified.
Education:
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or be expected to graduate before the program starts.
Language Proficiency:
All applicants must submit one or more of the following documents as proof of English or Korean language proficiency:
- TOEFL iBT: 71 or higher (Home Edition & Enhancement accepted)
- Academic IELTS: 5.5 or higher (IELTS Home Test is NOT accepted)
- CEFR Level B2 or higher (CEFR Online Test is accepted: EFSET)
- New TEPS: 326 or higher
- TOPIK (Korean Proficiency): Level 3 or higher
Exemption:
Applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s degree in English are not required to submit additional proof of language proficiency.
SK Global Scholarship Program Application Procedure
Step-by-Step Application Process
🔹 Step 1: Apply for Admission to Korea University
Before applying for the SK Global Scholarship, candidates must first apply for admission to Korea University. Visit the Korea University Admissions Section to complete the process.
🔹 Step 2: Prepare Required Documents
A separate scholarship application is required. You must collect the following:
- Completed Scholarship Application Form
- Language Proficiency Test Score (if applicable)
- Recommendation Letter
- Certificate of Student Status OR Certificate of Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree)
- Academic Transcript (Bachelor’s Degree Program)
- Resume / CV
- Statement of Purpose
- Copy of Unexpired Passport ID Pages
- Parents’ Nationality Certificate (One for each parent)
- Certificate of Parent-Child Relationship (Translated to English or Korean & notarized)
🔹 Step 3: Submit Your Application Online
- Visit the Online Application Portal (SK Global Scholarship Program Page)
- Click on “Apply Online” and search for “Korea University”
- Sign up as a user and log in
- Submit the online application form along with all required documents
