Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Chevening Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country (Check the official website for the full list).
- Return to their home country for at least two years after completing the scholarship.
- Hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 honours degree.
- Have at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience.
- Apply to three eligible UK university courses and secure at least one unconditional offer by July.
You Are NOT Eligible If You:
- Hold British citizenship (except for British Overseas Territory citizens applying from Hong Kong).
- Have refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country.
- Have worked in the UK Government (British embassies, high commissions, UK ministries) within the past two years.
- Have previously studied in the UK with UK Government funding.
